Afterthought

I've been living in fear for far too long, and now I gotta get moving.
It's time to face my demons so I take these steps.
When I fear my own shadow and I cannot see clearly.
I'll stumble blindly and I'll fight for breath.
I've gotta be a man, I've got to end my own way.
I walk alone, just hoping for a better tomorrow.

Chorus:
(Turns out the less that you know,
The more that slips by you day by day, and it's not fair.
Turns out the less that you know, witness.
The rest is just an after thought.
Turns out the less that you know,
The more that slips by you day by day, and it's not fair.
     Protecting the techno-judo, princess.
The rest is just an after thought.)

I feel the sand come up between my toes, but I've gotta keep moving.
Gotta find an answer, gotta find the truth.
The thick vapor fills my lungs it's in my eyes and I stumble, I cannot see through.
When I'm alone, I can't hurt anybody else.
And it's at that time, that maybe I can find myself.
