Road to Hell

The other day I was bored
    And I really couldn't deal.
So I went outside and I started up
    my little "rad-mobile".
I turned the key, blue off the dash:
    a dusty faded blue.
My rusty car, it leapt to life,
    And away we flew

    The road to hell...

    For a while I tried
to stay with the yellow line.
But soon it was time for me
To stray off of Highway 9.
Just right then I saw a road
    That I'd never seen before.
I went to go Have some fun,
but, I got a whole lot more

Chorus:
   (The road to hell.
     I can't catch my breath.
     On a road to hell.
     The road to death.)

Shadows loomed before me, and on that dirty trail.
What lousy timing for my brakes to fail.
I skidded past a faded sign.  What it said, I couldn't tell.
But I found out on a return trip: it said "The Road to Hell".

    The road to hell...

    I screamed, I skidded, I cursed myself.
    I was feeling pretty lame:
    The road replaced by brimstone,
    Trees replaced by flame.
Little red guys, they poked at me
    reeking an awful smell.
It was time to flip a "U-ie"
And leave this road to hell!

(chorus)

    The road to hell...
